Oh come on. I thought the Prem is 'overrated'? According to some of your posters it's of poorer quality than in many years, has too many professional divers and all round isn't that great a League. Yet you seem ever so desperate to get there. <laugh>

Hughs - You've managed to contain your Swansea obsession of late (much to everyone's relief on here, no doubt) but here you go again with your 'Remind you of anyone?' comment. Oh dear. You must have been racking that brain cell for a way to post something that would vaguely interest Cardiff fans but still had relevance to your fixation - the Swans.

For all the snide comments from some Cardiff posters about our style of play (yes, some have said the opposite) the fact remains that's what we are. That's what we do, right or wrong. It's resulted in pundits far and wide praising it and will deliver a comfortable mid-table finish by the end of the season thank you very much.

It's not for those teams with limited ability, but it works for us. As Clingo says you even try it yourself but haven't got the quality really to make it work season long.

    John.
Your thread was about Southampton v Reading, and having seen extended highlights of the game, you could hardly accuse Southampton of lacking in the final third, or have not having someone to hhit the net.
KJ. Don't mind you quoting me mate, but I said nothing about our quality on this thread.
I've just read the OP again and this time noticed the less than thinly veiled dig at the Swans. I commented because I thought it was a genuine thread about football, not another one based on obsession with rival clubs. So I'll leave this one now.

I must agree with that, the Championship is just as bad, so is the referees and line men I can't remember when they were so poor.

Things need to improve, with money getting tight people will start leaving sports so we need to entertain them (and I don't mean 67 passes and only two forward)

Cheers SCH, a well thought out and valued comment as usual.

The difference between us and last year's Swans is that you had great pace out wide on both sides and a winger in Sinclair who knew how to insert the bit of leather into the onion bag behind the goal. We have any number of players who score from time to time (including og's and cup games I think Lawrence was about the 20th to knotch for us this season) but none who do it often enough or have the pace to scare opposing defenders.

Nevertheless we will move on and 2 wins in our next 2 home games will see us in the play offs and who knows from there.

I take your point that if you have posession with no cutting edge ( like us on several occassions this season ) then you won't always win. However the stats in the Premier divisions in the top 4 countries in Europe show that if you have more than 55% possession you will win in close on 75% of those games.

On a different point best of luck for the remaining games as I for one would love to see us both in the Prem when we can show them what a derby match is all about.

Ironic that Blackpool may disagree, seing as it's one of yours they are borrowing.

I think you'd have done enough anyway, but Biffy Clyro's goals have made you comfortably safe!

Rubber ball. Shame on you. If you care to look back on my posts none have been derogitory towards Cardiff. Trying to engage in sensible conversation and there's always someone who reaches up from the gutter. Still, to all sensible Cardiff fans best of luck for the rest of the season and see you next year in the Prem.
