I think our goal against Arsenal was great, 1 pass from Hill, Adel makes a mug of their defender and places a lovely shot. That would be way better than a 30 pass goal with 25 of them being across the back 4.

Swanseas football is worse than Stokes for me.

Swansea City, Arsenal and of Barcelona play procession football as did the old Liverpool team. Man Utd play between these styles which seems to be effective year in year out ... On here I read so much **** by people who clearly have never played the game at a semi decent level to understand ... its so easy to slag off our defenders for instance when the real problem has been ball retention by a poor midfield. Keep the ball at all costs and watch the confidence and general play grow .. when you have individuals like Messi then you have the complete game .. its that simple and over a season of games you will win more with the ball. Sunday will be difficult for what reasons? we can't kept the ball and Man Utd know what to do with it when they have it.

You can put forward your teams/formations and I laugh my tits off ... when its this easy Keep the Ball, Use the ball, Lose the ball ... get it back within 20 seconds and start again.

Totally correct. That's the one big mistake Hughes made since he came in. He identified the defense as the main problem when clearly it was not. His new-look defense has been no better than the one we had.

That said, his side is starting to take shape and maybe, just maybe, its not too late.

Adel is our Messi but sorry if you think Hill's ball was meant? .. That goal was sheer class but it came from a pass that run through to Adel who was aware enough to pick it up running backwards to collect it.

Exactly well said and It all about the results now... But I do sincerely hope on Sunday we play a bit to keep our confidence up. I collect all the matches and have now watched the full Arsenal game a few times ... sorry the result was great for us but it was a lot about how tame Arsenal were IMO.
Determination and Grit are only two aspects without craft, patience and skill they mean very little IMO ... it all has to come together and without a doubt we play a lot better it seems when are called upon these attributes against teams that already have these qualities and experience.... So we have them it just needs momentum ... lets hope we grow a bit Sunday.

I'm glad that more people are now saying that to concentrate on improving the defence should not have been the primary focus for Spunky.

The paracingulate sulcus is alive and active in us all.

Exactly. Remember how dull Sousa football was, 0-0 after 0-0 and I witnesses the worst ever game of football Ive ever seen against Watford with not one chance for either side.

Unbelievable - 914 passes by Swansea, 77% possession, 91% Pass Accuracy, 14 shots to 4 and they still lost today.

Thats because over 90% of the passes are along their back 4 under no pressure.

I read that Leon Britton has one of the best if not the top pass % in the league and guess what, he has zero assists.

yup, wached about 35mins of the first half, most of the time, (maybe around 25 mins) Swans defenders were passing the ball sideways around mid circle

1756:Steve Claridge, BBC Sport at the Liberty Stadium"Swansea have looked more likely to score in the second half, they are finding the space easier than in the first half. Danny Graham and Scott Sinclair can certainly find the back of the net."

Maybe they shouldn't have sent Stephen Dobbie out on loan to Blackpool - he's going barn-stormers there scoring goals.

A bit of humility wouldn't go a miss mate!! Just because some people don't like the style of football you do, doesn't mean you know better!!
I actually find Barca a little boring at times.... sacrilege I'm sure!!! (And yes...I have played at a decent level!).

Wow it's that easy? You must tell Mark Hughes, your expert input could be the difference between staying up and not.

    <laugh>

That can't beat what he said about Leeds surely?

Leeds were beating West Ham 1-0 with 90 minutes played and Claridge spent about 5 minutes on Final Score praising Warnock and how he had tightened up the Leeds defence and then in injury time West Ham equalised and then Forest hit 7 past Leeds in the next game <laugh>
