I watched both online as well, and while I don't massively disagree with you, I think the lads simply played with a lot more urgency and aggression in the Villa game.

So basically nothing different except for personnel (Routledge over Sinclair & Kemy & Orlandi in mid) and everyone playing very well.

 

There you go again, just can't help yourself can you, your facts are becoming very much like Dai's, please provide the evidence where I referred to you as a sheep!! of course we both know that was once again your regular twisting of the facts, and if the personal insults continue to disrupt these boards, then I will have no alternative other than to remove them, regardless of who they come from, you've been warned! Try sticking to football related commentary please, as everyone including myself are getting fed up with this childishness!................




Now for the footy, The only negatives I can think of, (1) We have issues with our front line away from home, both Sinclair and Graham are not clinical enough, and it's not working as it should, would Love to see Dobbie in the mix, away from home. (2) The problem of the Liberty capacity, which is creating problems with ticket allocation and priority is a nightmare for many true Jack supporters, and the club have not dealt fairly with this at all, and it needs to be addressed!...............

I'm sitting here trying to do a preview of the Bolton game, and to be honest I can't be ****ed, it'll probably only end up with the usual people having a go at each other. Meh. Maybe later if I have a wave of enthusiasm, pretty bored of it right now to be honest.

Edit: Anyone got any other forum recommendations? Planet Swans is even more ******ed than this site has become of late.

 

Scott I couldn't agree more, I don't like deleting posts, but I'm fast coming to the conclusion that these personal insults need to be nipped in the bud! I have no problem with good humoured banter, but posters need to show some respect, we have had quite a lot of new posters joining over the last 6 months, and we don't want to derail that with all this pettiness!..........

 

Knackered hasn't made any personal insults on this thread. He's called you (DPJ) 'my little mod' which is slightly condescending.

SS99 has said 'grow up kangaroo and get a life' which could be viewed as a personal insult but is one he trots out regularly and no-one takes any notice of any more.

Norway & SS99 have referred to people being like sheep and following the flock which is again more condescending than insulting.

No need to get too heavy-handed. (IMO)

 

Both Dai and Norway, whilst backslapping each other, have referred to the rest of us as sheep on this thread! If you are taking your mod status seriously all of a sudden and really wish to 'delete personal insults' start with that one and Norway's 'Aussietwat' reference. If you're giving it large then 'I missed that one' doesn't cut it.

You're quick to take me to task but say nothing about anyone else. In fact, you encourage it with comments like "Keep going Dai"

Apologies Scott, and I know what you mean. This thread didn't mention names and only expressed by feelings that we had more to be grateful for than not.

I agree, Aswan. I personally wouldn't delete the 'sheep' reference either but you get my drift. If you're criticising a poster for personal insults then be even handed. Is that too much to ask?

 

My main gripe is that negativity breeds contempt, and achieves nothing. Dai claimed recently he indulges in "constructive criticism" and others have claimed they are simply debating our teams failings, but it's the manner in which it's done. Dai either has never seen anyone indulging in constructive criticism, or is lying/choosing to forget most of his posts, as claiming people "aren't PL standard", that people are "finished and will never play at this level" and god knows what else he's claimed over the years can hardly be considered, in any way., constructive. Venting, possibly, but constructive criticism, never. Not all criticism is constructive! Anyone can write an article saying how we played ****, how we need to find a new system blah blah soddin' blah... what actually requires thought is offering solutions to these problems.

Everyone knows people come here on the windup, which I think is really, really, really, sad. Meh. Struggling for motivation for this match preview I'll say!

 

Your motivation should be the fact that everyone enjoys reading them as well-balanced and well-written match articles

Ive tried countless times These last few weeks to bury the hatchet and move on,ive been more civil and indeed very complimentary in hope of building bridges,but to no avail.

There is not alot more i can do other than defend myself when a poster prints lies and mis quotes, the standard fell into the gutter when you returned its clear as day to see this,yet my reputation is being drag ed into question when all ive been is objective.

I apoligise to other posters for having to put up with tit for tat with knackered, i Asked him to take it PM but he refused,i tried to be Nice and not Get too involved he still throws out insults and insinuations, i complimented him on his article and tried to encourage positive banter There was none.

I am trying to be as objective as I can Aussie, but you are making it very difficult indeed, your reference to "Keep going Dai" is taken out of context, but I can't really be bothered anymore with all this, as far as I see it, you seem to be the fly in the ointment recently, with both Norway and Dai, and you've even managed to drag me into all this pettiness, but I won't be, like I've said anymore post that show disrespect to other jacks on this board by anyone, will be removed by me, good humoured banter is fine, and thats my final word on this.........

Norway, are you for real? I tried to stop a long running personal feud and all I got was insinuations I was a control freak who enjoyed powertrips. I've tried to stop personal bitching, and closing threads, but people refused to let it die, and also seemingly refused to take it away from public. You can't have it both ways. Any "lack of moderation" which seems apparent here is because everyone threw their toys out of the pram the last time I tried to get everybody to stop bitching.

Edit: Sorry if that sounded harsh, but I've had a bit of a titsful of all this!

 

Scot- it doesnt sound harsh mate, you Are correct actually, but what i meant was knackered has issues with DPJ and maybe some imparshal input from yourself would have maybe cooled things quicker thats all.

I can totally understand your comments though and respect your bluntness

 

DPJ is a big boy and gives as good as he gets most of the time! Any bitching is boring to me, I don't care who it's by or aimed at, I'd rather not see it.

ffs kiddies, settle down and get back on topic, one point KJ didnt mention was expanding the stadium, would that be a positive or a negative? hopefully not going down this season (must be 100-1) so would it be prudent to add a few thousand in capacity?
