H'okay lets try and focus on postives from this match.

An away point - Always valuable and Ewood isn't an easy place to go to. Especially with our record against them.
Players due back soon - Ireland, Ben Arfa, Gosling, Ameobi all due back in a few weeks.
Clean sheet - Always nice to get one of those.
Ranger only played 15 minutes - If Nile had played since half time, I think we ight have won, so that's an encouraging sign.
We dominated midfield - Another strong showing by the NUFC middle.

Any others? Am I being foolishly optimistic?

More positives:

Lovenkrands was **** - This might have been the final crap performance needed to persuade Pardew that Ranger should start alongside Best. I somehow doubt it though...

Enrique and Tiote bossed the pitch - Their confidence should be high after a strong performance.

Kuqi had a bit of time - Better than nothing. He should have had longer though imo. Putting someone on for three minutes is a pointlessly short amount of time and just wastes the added minutes of extra time.

Ireland and Ben Arfa soon! - According to Physio Room, Ireland is back next week, and Ben Arfa is back the week after that. Probably not very accurate, but if those dates are anywhere near true, then I'm excited.

Everything about that was positive except for the ball not going in.

Nolan started dictating play a lot more this week which has been lacking so that's a huge positive I reckon.

Enrique, Tiote and Jonas bossing their opponents.

Some immense one touch football at times!

On another day we'd have scored 5 or 6 again so I reckon it shows we've got more than enough needed to stay up :)
