Crouch isnt coming. N'Zogbia wants European football or at least the prospect of it in 12 months (thats us out of the picture then)
N'Gog? Thats the height of our ****ing ambiton today.
This all just sounds worse and worse by the minute.
along with the Bent deal
Cest - surely N'Gog is simply squad building not ambition? After the seasoin just gone and the injuries we all moaned about, surely having a squad is better than having a team with no backup? You are stuck in the Bob Murray days where things were always as they seemed - nowadays we are looking at players (according to Bruce) and trying to build for the future rather than buying someone to simply get us by - and if the Liverpool board stories about £17.5m + N'Gog are right then that's a good deal IMO
Marcus if building for the future involves selling the most prolific english striker in the country, a very good homegrown promising english midfielder (who was excellent prior to the new year) and having a load of loan signings then looking at Bosmans/squad players who can't get into their current teams starting 11 then i must be missing something !.

Is £7m the price for squad building? Surely this represents large investment for squad building and for this kind of money i would think he would be in first team plans.
N'Gog i have watched quite a lot of times and have friends who are season ticket holders and they are pissing themselves at this deal. I'm afraid i am crying about it, i will give Bruce this transfer window and start of the season but i am afraid my backing for him is becoming as strong as a mickey gray penalty!!!!

if this is our way foward selling our best and replacing with ****e i have to agree![]()
We've got at least £30m in the bank if the deal goes through as expected.
Reinforcements? Starting to think both Crouch and N'Zog are likely to be looked at closely.
Sess and Colback were in great form towards the end of the season and could be very effective players next year.
Meyler is on his way back from injury.
Big Chris has been banned.
We have very polite fans. I posted on the thriving Hartlepool board and not one would take a moment to reply.
Any more positives to look forward to lads?
I suggest ignore any wumming on here if it follows. Let's try to make the most of a precarious situation.
I don't see how selling Bent makes us a "selling club" - he requested a transfer in the Summer and we turned him down (if we were a selling club would we not have sold him then??)
We sold him when he was ouot of form and looked completely disinterested.
Henderson on the other hand produces 100% profit (and no doubt a sell on clause as well) as he came through the ranks. I didn't want him to go but he was poor in the second half of the season and looked jaded (needed a rest mnore than anything) - has played 75 times from 76 league games over 2 seasons I think and is still not even 21 - says a lot
2bh I thought it was Walton and Quinn that sorted out the financial side of things not Brucie
