Another positive: Naughton and Chadli are both unlikely to feature at the weekend!

I know I'm just a constant moaner at the moment but it really does say something when, after winning a game, there is still a need for a "positives from last night" thread.

We're so bloody desperate to be positive and hats off to those that will push the positivity side of things but it's all a bit hard going isn't it?

When I saw that there were injuries and then saw that they were Naughton and Chadli I have to agree with HBIC - I sort of saw that as a positive. Though in our position we might actually miss Naughton. Oh God - I'm getting depressed again...

Carroll is the same age as those he's tried to displace though, won't surprise me if QPR come up that the move may become permanent. This is purely what I think our current management will do, its not my opinion before anyone wrongly assumes I'm anti Spurs youth system.

Absolutely nowt Spurm thats the thing!, but you can't say anything neg for getting jumped on. I do feel some are overegged, but there's only a few posters here who watch them regular and I only listen (or read!) to their views really. I just find it slightly annoying sometimes when you read posters comments who've never seen them, come out with "lets give Coulibaly a go" as one example.

I'm joking! I hid a smiley down the bottom.

I'd like to see a few that i've never seen given a shot in the EL. If we win the next one we've qualified so i say unleash the youth and let us all have a look at them.

I did see it mate. :) just thought I'd explain a bit more what I meant.

I agree with what you've put aswell, once qualification in top spot is mathematically secured...chuck em all in for the last one or two 'dead rubbers'. <ok>

I'd love to see more of our youth players given a chance, but virtually all of the ones that I rate are out on loan, barring Kane.
We've got a massive squad with a number of players that need more games under their belt, so I think we should just stick with rotating them in.
As I said elsewhere, I would start Defoe and Kane against Sheriff, though. Adebayor on the bench, starts for fringe players and those returning from injury, like Capoue.

I said similar recently. The ages of the incoming CMs during AVBs' reign has distorted things.
Ideally you would have a senior shuffling off the treadmill just as a kid begins to make it.
But with internationals etc of effectively the same age, Tommy is going to have to make serious
progress. Pritchard is probably in a similar situation 2 yrs from now too.
