I respect all the views of all Norwich fans. Mine is that Holt will deliver, you question in your report if we should have sold holt? That's an opinion I can't agree with, I'm sorry. The goals are coming the structure is better I can see us being successful.

I respect maestros view, daves view, surgerymans view. In fact, I respect all the views of the Norwich fans on here because I know theyre good guys but I don't respect any of your opinions because I genuinely believe you don't have the right to an opinion. Now get lost.

Thanks Beef. Totally see your view and my question was to raise debate and not necessarily saying we should have sold. Your response here is the better way of saying you disagree. My view on it all was the club has caved in on player power , which worries me a tad. He had a decent 2 year deal and scoring goals again would have had the club offering a year extra. I have no problem with players trying to get the best deal for them but the club always comes first in my eyes. He has got his deal so good luck to him. I am pleased he has stayed but he must deliver. We cannot have our top striker struggling early doors. He should be ready from the off. Yes, a new team and playing as a lone striker has not helped but yesterday and against QPR his hold up and link play was below par. When he got chances he snatched at them. Without doubt he wants to score, we all know that but with so much counting on him to do so and not delivering, fans will raise debates on player performances. The best way for him to silence any rumblings is to get some goals, which we all want him to do. I , whilst slightly worried by our woeful finishing ATM, do see a lot of positives as you indicate, so am not overly worried. We could quite easily get something from our next 3 games. Hopefully Holt will be fundamental in that.
 
Positives - You budgies are without a win; the binners are in the Championship relegation zone. <cheers>
Negatives - I can't laugh because we're doing even worse. <wah>
 
For the first half, this was a really interesting post. Then it descended into a slanging match. Beefy, don't take the bait every time - please.

Beefy, I hope you know me well enough to accept this from me!

Nobody loves Holty more than I do, the man is a legend, he became a legend in a very short space of time, but every season he starts very slowly, when he starts to perform, as we all know he can, there is a noticeable difference in his physique, his back to scoring always coincides with a definite weight loss!

All we are saying is, instead of waiting till the season has started, it would be better for him, and for us, if he showed a little more self-discipline with regard to his fitness! I can empathise with him, I am by nature a greedy bastard, if something I like is put on a plate, I will eat it all and bugger the consequences, but when you're in the position that Holty is, getting paid good money to score goals, then you ought to have a bit more self-control!

I hope you can see I'm not having a go at you, or him, just my thoughts!

As for Swords, this is a multi-board forum, so we have visitors from ALL football supporters! I know you were harshly treated on the QPR board, but that is not Swords fault, what you appear to want is for me and Maestro to be as unreasonable as their mods! Sorry, mate, that's not going to happen, I've shown, twice that if he crosses the line, I will seek a ban for him, but to be honest, since he returned from his last ban, he has behaved very well!

I don't expect a ban if he doesn't do anything wrong, but I will mercilesssly attack everything he says. And i was 10 feet away from Holt on Saturday, he's not exceptionaly bigger or smaller than he's ever been, I'm really puzzled by this weightwatchers bullshit we have every year.

Don't think anyone could have said it better, this is exactly my view.
 
I have no doubt holty will come good he always does, although i think Johnson has done well i would like to see fox come in, special howson could push forward cause o think he's more effective that way. also can't wait to get Bennett and pilkington back as o feel we have less width, although i wouldn't drop snoddy. but least we could mix up the play and get some better service in. but we shall see, Im sure we will pick up the g oals either way.
