Are we going to officially unveil the new club name "QPR Thursday" - I'm sure Mr Warnock would appreciate the dig at his old Sheffield rivals.
This would also suggest that the present owners are going to be here for quite a while..........excellent
I so hope this is true, i'm so exited about a new training ground and that will help us attract players next month! Thanks Cerny
I never said that a new training ground isnt good news it's just that it shouldnt be paraded around and presented to the fans as a massive event. Yes it shows that Fernandes is interested in the club rather than the team but he's said that from the off. He's said we're going to have a new ground, a new academy, a new training ground, a new this, a new that etc. Now when he arrived at the came club and said it originally. Yippee. Great. Hallelujh. Finally the clowns have gone and this guy means business. To come back four months later and say "You see that thing I'd said I'd do...well...Im going to do it." Isnt something that should be celebrated and be presented as "very positive news." More. "We've got the ball rolling. Here's to the future." Couldn't be happier that the clubs moving forwards, just, spare the tinsel.
I know exactly what you mean and I hope you don't get slated for it. But imo there is a massive difference between saying we will do something and then to actually do it is another things. Hence why i'm as exited as a kid on Xmas day!
Anyone got any thoughts on where it might be? Chelsea's training ground in Cobham has been something of a success for them. Many of the players live around there now. Assume we'll have something out west. It'll be interesting
Yeah yeah I get that and sure when they announce the news I'm not going to greet it with a grunt and "about time too!!!" I'll be genuinely pleased as it does show real progress that they are taking action. I just don't think it should be jazzed up to the extent that QPR's media whatever puts us all on tenterhooks so close to the transfer window and gets us guessing. An exclusive on the website. Interviews with Fernandes, Bhatia, Warnock, probably Barton will do fine. Then no doubt we'll have a relevant thread on here!
It's a start and showing a bit of the commitment that TF stated when he took over. 'Rome wasn't built in a day' and as long as there is a measured progression over the next two or three years most of us will be happy. This is a good precursor to the start of the transfer window and some quality signings/loanees will have everyone upbeat and pulling in the right direction. Onwards and upwards you Rrrr's...
Obviously an improvement on Harlington then. Should take the pressure off Sharon a bit - unless Neil's sorted a player-sussing office for her at the new place!
What the **** is wrong with you lot, someone suggests that the news could be an announcement on a new training ground, 20 posts later and we are asking where it will be. The probable news is that the Club shop sale is starting Saturday
I love all the 'no one knows' and then another site mentions it and all the ITK's then seem to know Deluded. hang on That makes me feel more itk
