    Calling the match off as late as 2:30 does smack of poor organisation.

    What were the exact circumstances, was the pitch partially frozen?
    If it was that rather than a short-term event like a sudden deluge of rain, a decision should be possible at least 6 hours before 3pm to save travelling fans a wasted journey and day.
