I think now we enter go big or go home time, the real France, Germany, Portugal will show up. They've avoided the ignominy of being dumped out early, so will zero in and focus. Germany don't have the best players in my opinion. But what they do have is what they always have as a bare minimum. Togetherness, the complete absence of superstars, and a general selfless attitude that teamwork makes the dream work. I think that will probably be enough to take care of us because I suspect we will freeze similar to Scotland game. The only thing I would say is the expectation is different. They knew Scotland were gonna be in their faces, they knew they were expected to win and they knew they will take the rivalry seriously. The rivalry here is not as great for all its the Germans, we are expected to lose, but the desire from the oppo is the same. We have a chance for sure because we have good players. I just think the old enemy psychologically still have an edge on us. France and Portugal will turn up now. They'll tighten up and rely on their superstars to grab the odd goal. Frances path looks semi final minimum now. Portugal have it tougher but we could quite easily see a repeat of the group game in the semis.
