I digress, given that it is such a fascinating game, which was just described as "a game that could crackle & sparkle at any time". In 1973/74 I was a young pup working on a scientific research vessel based out of Lisbon and later in Porto. I recall in Lisbon our married chief engineer hooking up with a bar girl, dressed in a very short tartan skirt, and the next day going home to wifey in the UK with what turned out to be a dose of the clap, which must have been somewhat awkward! He has denied Portugal 2 clear goal scoring opportunities when he should have given P advantage with nani clear, and when nani was fouled another time he waved play on. He's also blowing up most times a big guy jumps and wins the ball apparently because he is - big. But other than a few games I think the refereeing has been better than usual this tournament. The officials in England Ukraine were a big exception.
