I thought we were the better side until the sending off/pen, which were deserved.. but how the hell did their number 9 remain on the pitch?
Benno said we get out muscled and that is it, we are rubbish at corners, and we cannot keep a clean sheet again, Maja was apparently ill today, well read what you like into that, that was the worst performance against the best team and they are charmed with luck Portsmouth after our 5th sending off, and they will win the league we might be sweating on 6th place this time next week xmas ruined and 40,000 unhappy going down there next week they should call off all the pre match hype now because without signings we are going nowhere.
We were the better side ‘til another daft moment of madness. I thought we were gonna smash and grab that game in the second half. Pompey fans on the train on the way back saying not sure how they ended up winning, let alone the margin. Still need some new recruits, esp centre half.
Itotally agree he totally cleaned out O’nien in the 2nd half (booked in the 1st. ) Wellwe never get a fair crack of the refs whip. The first was reslly good without too many clear cut chances but ALL the good football was coming from us. I was supremely optimistic at the break. The penslty and red card appeared to say thats it for us today. O’niens lovely finish gave me my feel-good back. He had a very good day at right back especially as he has never really played there before. May have found a good position for him st least it is another string to his considerable bow. Not down at sll tonight with 11 on the pitch we would have got something from the game. We all new we would lose a few on the way but as far as I am concerned we are 4 or 5 places higher playing much better than I expected at the beginning of August. So roll the next couple of games sovwe can see how Jack and the lads cope with todays result. KTF
After watching the first half, I had to run out for just a bit at halftime. I returned to a shocking discovery.
I thought we played well first half, knocked the ball around quite well but didn't really create that many chances. Pompey didn't really threaten our goal and we looked comfortable. I've just seen the replay and Loovens took their player down from behind and he was the last man - so maybe the red card was justified - it probably would have been better to let him go and take the risk. Once down to ten men we didn't really adjust quickly enough and Ozturk lost his man for their second goal. O'Nien had a great game at right back and scored a well deserved goal and at that point it even looked like we might get back into it but Pompey pushed on and in the end it could have been a hell of a lot worse than 3-1. Great support on both sides and a standing ovation for the players at the end. Not sure who has said this already but we need a new centre back to cover for Baldwin or Flanagan being injured.
Read my earlier post. Christ you’re boring You wonder why @Teesdarlomakem dislikes you. IT IS BECAUSE OF THIS ****E YOU ****ING IMBECILE!! We lost due to poor refereeing. Why the **** would the 40k going on Wednesday be unhappy? We lost to the top team... yet we still have 2 games in hand. If we could ban for negativity then you’d be gone so long ago. You have **** all positive to add to SAFC so **** off you ****
This might be the biggest gate in this división since Aston Villa were in this división way back in the 70s.
Just let him have his say, its a forum, we can all make our minds up about his contribution. Thanks to all of our contributors, with special mention to RTB, shame about yesterday, but onwards and upwards.
