All I can say is well done. I thought we'd blown it last week. Lets hope we can start afresh next season and learn from the mistakes made this. UTT.
I agree, without him, we’d be down, he just happened to do a **** up in the most highlighted game of the season.
They bought him for £200k from Bournemouth at the start of last season, what a signing that was. They had him on one side and Kamara on the other in League One.
I wasn’t impressed with Selles’ subs, I thought Joseph should have been hooked before Gelhardt, Joseph reminds me of an expensive Stephen McPhee, although he’s played out of position constantly. Pedto getting replaced by Jones was, for me ridiculous, fortunately didn’t cost us. Finally, a rant about the commentator, the Portsmouth LB Ogilvie, how did he keep constantly calling him Ogilverie? Where the **** was the R in his name? Rant over, we’re safe, thank ****!
20 minutes after the game and Pompey fans are louder than the MKM during a game as the players and their families are on the pitch.
There's certainly some admiring glances, but he's on a decent contract here until 2027, so it would cost somebody a fair old amount of money.
https://x.com/hullcitystats/status/1918661738959933547?s=46 A man that’s relieved he might get some money back? Or one that’s relieved he’s not off on a League 1 tour?
There are learning curves and there are Everest like learning curves. I dont care if we dont make the play offs for another 5 / 6 years as long as we don't go through that again.
I guess I’m a bit more sympathetic to the players than I was months ago. Some of them definitely won’t be here next season. A lot of them, including Coyle, looked sheepish going over to the fans, almost like he felt celebrating was inappropriate. A few of them looked like that. Kamara didn’t even go over and was talking with Portsmouth players. It feels bittersweet in a way. We survived but it’s been a really unpleasant season for supporters and players alike and some of them probably have mixed emotions right now.
I don't know whether it was the raw emotion or not, but he wasn't smiling when the camera caught him afterward. Hopefully deep in thought about how to fix the mess we got into. But, like everybody else, he can at least crack a beer and toast his players for not landing us completely in the ****.
Saved by our away form again, a vital point and vital we stay up and rebuild, very relieved, we are Ull.
True observation. A shame we can’t get as many stood up and getting behind the team in the MKM as we’re doing at Portsmouth today.
Showed the reaction at full time, and there was palpable relief all round, seeing that i think there's a bit of truth in the suggestions that we were fkd if we went down, let's see what happens next.
