No problem. It can be a bit worrying because it doesn't look like it's working at first! There is a live chat line as well for help. My experience was that it was busy but the match I was complaining about was terrible for lots of people so I think they were overwhelmed with complaints. Fair play though, they did refund the money. It took two weeks and five e mails though. My experience since then has been really good. I am hoping I am not jinxing it!

The only negative experience I had of the place was when my pub got trashed by a traveller stand off. And maybe when the neo nazis had a fight with the Polish down the street from my house.

Maybe not to everybody's tastes, but it's my second city and it gets a big thumbs up from me.

We've got an all singing all dancing "talk to me "three year old LG OLED mega screen tv, (bought from Richer Sounds with a six year guarantee) and in the last week a green dot the size of a two pound coin has appeared at the bottom of the screen, only visable on light colours but once seen seen. LG's tech support this morning said to do a pixel refresh five times to cure it, cure it as if! It takes an hour a time, and its now had the five cycles and the dot is still there. They'll be getting another call in the morning, but looking at Google it seems to be a common fault and it'll be a new panel needed. Effing technology!

Was going to get that new Philips 49" OLED with a Bowers and Wilkins sound system £1899. Which my wife wasn't too enamoured about as she was quite happy with the Panasonic 42" plasma we had, or rather I had as we have a snaller Philips in the other room. Then in 2 months vacuum cleaner went, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Got granddaughter a Nintendo switch and promised grandson a PlayStation 5, which cannot get hold of. So had to compromise and get a Samsung QLED which was a bit cheaper.
The UHD picture is brilliant, though you are limited in what to watch, it upscales SDR better than the plasma but HDTV, which is most of what I watch is no better than the plasma. So basically most of the time I am watching a picture which is no better just on a bigger screen. My neighbour thinks his OLED TV is no better than my plasma one for HDTV. So, was it worth it? No, not really. Am I going to admit to the wife said it wouldn't be? Like hell I am.

    42" and 49" are portables! :emoticon-0110-tongu
I'm very happy with our picture, and looking at Google, LG and Richer Sounds have a good name for rectifying faults. (he says with trepidation)

Where I sit 49" is big enough. My optician says a lot of people get the wrong size TV and a lot have eyesight that prevents them getting the full benefit of 4kTV. Of which. I am one apparently.Don't know if he is right so still got one.
I know people who have had dealings with Richer Sounds and they speak very highly of them. Apparently the owner treats staff well as well.

It's probably one of the reflector caps fallen off the light - modern TV's are all backlit with multiple small lights, they have a reflector cap which softens the glare, they glue holding them on dries out and they fall off, its a common fault - you can fix it yourself, there's a smartarse on YouTube who shows you how. Personally, I can live with it and hope no more fall off.

When you look back at TVs first one my dad got was a 10" screen in an enormous cabinet with only one channel and cost 7 or 8 weeks wages. When I left home he had a 28" which seemed huge. First colour TV I got in 1974 was a 20" screen. I remember when .I bought a 32" one the wife wanted to know where I was going to put it as it wold dominate the room. How things change. And very quickly.

Mine has done that. Theoretically possible to fix it but not tried yet.
Not sure if that’s how OLED’s work though?

According to Google - the white dots are where a plaggy diffuser has fallen from in front of the LED light, it appears your screen is full of them and they can, and do, fall off. I spent a few hours trawling the net when the same fault Wright mentions appeared on my screen too.

Just for info, I had to use Google as my Mrs, who knows everything, hadn't a clue.

It isn't one of those things where unplugging it and plugging it back in again works?

I had a massive 32" Hitachi in the living room, then the lad gave us his 40" as he'd got this thing the size of a ****ing cinema screen! !!

Funny thing was when the little grandson came round(before all this no-one in the house at all stuff),he walked in the living room to see me and said "Grandad, why is your telly so 'wee'" ....He's 3 bless him:emoticon-0102-bigsm

My Son was once Richer Sounds youngest shop manager. Julian Richer lived near York and he is possible the best example of a retail guru. The staff were very well cared for. My Son earned more as a sixteen year old runner three days a week than he could get full time anywhere else. He dropped out of college after Julian flew down in his jet to interview him for a assistant managers promotion. Took him to Edinburgh for a meal and flew him back. When his shop did well, they had a purple Rolls Royce to drive around for a week and the company paid for them to go bowling and go karting. It got boring after a while. My lad did not like retail and left to be the regional sales manager for a major hi fi brand. He has traveled the world setting up distribution networks for high end hi Finland headphones. All on the back of what Julian Richer taught him.

    Yeah
Sorry I knew that was the case on LED. I just didn’t know it was the same on OLED (because I don’t have one so hadn’t looked)

Confirms some of the good things I have heard about him. My only dealing with them was good. Got some unbiased advice and talked out of what I was thinking of buying for something slightly less expensive. Would use more if handier to get to.
