Agreed, you'll still be well clear with games in hand. I'd be more worried if I was a Bristol or Millwall fan: Table without Pompey: Team Played Pts So'ton 32 61 Reading 31 57 --------------------------- W. I have no sympathy for players or the club, just for the fans, They have had plenty of warnings and all they did was piss the money up the wall. Hopefully they will build a tesco's on fratton park and employ That ****ing money grabbing judas **** Norris as a Trolley Wally. As for the players who apparently loved the club so much they wasn't interested in signing for us, well **** you, you couldn't have loved the club that much as basically there won't be a club much longer and you have to be held responsible for refusing the move!
to be fair to the players guru, you don't know what the players were told before hand. they could have been told the club had a buyer. nothing at that club seems clear cut - everything is a mess but i understand people wanting to stay loyal to something they love. easier with hindsight and we could probably all see this coming but its easier from the outside. it has probably got to the stage now where its best for everyone, including the pompey fans if they just start again with a clean slate. unless someone with proven big money can rescue them and invest sharpish in some infrastructure like new stadium etc then this will keep happening. it might be time to let it die and begin a pheonix club.
