I’ve been to the Derby Forest derby (that’s just two teams playing :) ) and it is pretty tasty.

Trees and sheep being launched into pubs!

Another good example of an inter-city rivalry that I mentioned earlier.

Brighton v Palace I've always found an odd one.

Wouldn't have Chavs n the Spuds up as high either as it's not even Spurs main rival!

Is Leeds and Hudders any more tasty than when Leeds play another Yorkshire club like the Sheffield clubs or Barnsley etc.?

I went just a few seasons back (6 or 7) when they played in the FA Cup. I watched the game st Derby in the pub with my Forest mate and he said I had to go with him to the replay.

Kris Commons (he of the Forest born and bred type, with Forest tatoo on his leg) had left on a free to join Derby that summer.

Atmosphere in the pubs and the ground was electric. Amazing. Forest went 2-0 up inside ten minutes and were battering Derby. I think it was 2-1 at half time. Second half Derby attacked the end that was full of Derby (cup game and they had the whole end). Derby equalised and then with ten to go, the very same Kris Commons scored the winner... oh boy. It was the only time in my life I have been quiet for an entire car journey. I think my mate got us from Nottingham city centre to Northampton in about 15 minutes (felt like that anyway)! He drove very angry.

That's what I mean by those games seem to be more fierce imo, whenever you watch one of those games even on TV you can feel the tension and the atmosphere through the screen, compared to the dreary Manc, Scouse and NL derbies for example...

That one along with the others I mentioned earlier is very similar to ours imo.

    Great story btw <ok>

Leeds v Millwall is always a great family day out. Remember when we were in League One with both of them and I was living in Leeds when they played each other. Was like World War 3 in Leeds city centre

The rivalry between Spurs and Chelsea fans is more intense, bitter and nastier than when either play Arsenal

The “bubble” ruins the atmosphere on derby days now, I understand why it’s done but takes away a lot of the adrenaline etc.

Really? Did you go to the last game at St Mary’s? The atmosphere was feisty and the adrenaline was pumping!

Not from a personal experience no, I know people who have been to games via “bubble” and have said it takes away the enjoyment of the day, pubs, drinking, ground walk etc...

End of the day who wants/likes there day being dictated by the old bill ?

Don't blame the fuzz, blame those childish fools who think that someone who supports another team is sub human and deserves to be beaten up despite knowing nothing about them. You're not big, you're not brave, you're not hard. If the 'thrill of the fight' appeals to you so much, the British army are recruiting.

The Painted Wagon? God, that takes me back...

Different world back then. Not that I went in there very often - I was always with the hippies and punks in the Baytree. If I thought hard I could probably still remember what was on the jukebox upstairs in the pool room.
