    Saxon is probably the closest pub to me,but not one i frequent very often. Farmhouse ok,but sometimes full of helmets, Testwood not to bad either.

    Ha ha, there's a pub called the Saxon and I was wondering from what period of history, the origins of the name Totton came from, how funny is that.

    I like the helmets reference too, v droll.

    Surely the more game time the better for the squad to gell.
    And the extra money is not to be sniffed at.
    And we all know how much the Pompey fans like a day out at the new ol' famous ground.
    And the JPT is a fine competition if I don't say so myself.
    And one last point......this is the biggest southcoast derby you'll have for some years, so better to be winning them than losing them at this stage.
    (god, if we only had that many points already! <grr>)

    I suspect Pompey fans may prefer the Salmon Leap.<whistle>
