Most people on here feel for the fans, but wouldn't it be better to fold the club and let all those people who used PFC to lose money. As we all learn in life, sometimes it's better to start again however painful. The FL are concerned that Chanrai is only looking after himself and they want some guarantee that other creditors won't lose out while he tries to get back his money. Appleton has an unenviable task...bet he wishes he could get out with honour intact.
I feel for some of the fans. I don't feel for the troglodites who come to Southampton away games and act like the barbarians who sacked Rome. I don't feel for the keyboard warriors who came over here when we were in similar problems and were giving it large. For them I see this as Karma.
Whatever, you know what I mean. I totally agree and advocated reforming ages ago, the problem is it's too late now for Portsmouth to re-enter the league at whatever level next season (although it seems not too late for Rangers I notice.....) so there wouldn't be a Portsmouth team next season I think.
It's harsh on the hundreds of Pompey fans that turn up to every game week in week out but starting a new team would mean some kind of new ground which they could actually fill so.... every cloud and all that! If that did happen they would be back in the football league within 10 years no problems but I hope they do exist for next season so the old rivalry can exist.
