Barring an earthquake or plague of locusts this fixture surely gets completed this time!?

We'll have enough professionalism and nous to see this one out (although it might not be pretty or please the "football purists"!)

2-0 Town and we edge closer to the promised land

COYB!!!!

Fine club Pompey, nice manager and hope they avoid the drop. Chappers will greet all his mates but wont be playing.

Cant see anything other than a win. But you never know. Took my son to his 1st game of footie there, some 30 yrs ago, he has been a top fan ever since. He threw his daughter, my little grand daughter, up in the air at that last min goal to shock Borough!

2-0 Town

Fingers crossed this turns out to be the win we are expecting. They are fighting for survival so I hope there is no complacency. I’ll go 3-0 win.

An early goal for Pompey will panic us as fans but shake those on the pitch out of post-derby reverie and we'll recover to win 3-1.

I imagine we’ll switch it up a bit by starting some of the lads who didn’t play on the weekend and maybe rest a couple who will play in the big one against Middlesbrough. The games are going to come think and fast, with a lot of away trips.

We should have enough about us to get the three points at Pompey - but I think it’ll be a gruelling game. Scrappy 1-0 Town win.

Pompey’s weekend game is a Saturday lunchtime home match against fellow strugglers Leicester. That’s a six pointer! Maybe they’ll also do a bit of rotation?

A bit of a drab first half performance so far.

We don’t seem to be quite clicking in the attacking half. Defensively solid, with Greaves putting in a good shift at left back. Far too cautious with the passing and we’ve seen some sloppy first touches from the likes of Furlong and Hirst. I can’t recall Nunez and Hirst actually making a successful pass to a fellow Town player.

Need to step things up.

1-0 Pompey. Goal from a corner, slack man marking from Hirst, nobody picking up the runner and it’s nodded through Walton’s legs.

Poor first half.

2-0 Pompey! That’s an absolutely awful goal to concede. Poor marking and rubbish positioning from all the defenders and Walton. Completely hapless.

Be lucky to get in at 2-0 down at this rate.
