I'd like to see us try and win the Europa League, it would be a great trophy to get under our belts. As you say, it comes down to how we're doing in the league and how the squad copes with injuries in the 2nd half of the season. But to be fair, we've fielded a completley 2nd string side in the Europa league and they have done really well. Tougher challenges will come, but we can always augment that team with the likes of Sanchez, Ozil, Lacazette, Koscielny, Monreal etc
I agree. We have a squad big enough to handle both the league and Europa and so far it's coped with both. I don't see any burnout so far, as you've highlighted a lot of our big guns haven't featured much and they will only play much later on in the tournament. The biggest problem for us is consistency in the league. With or without any cup distractions, we would still be plagued with the same issues. So why not go full tilt in the Europa? What ever happens in the league the responsibility lies with the manager and the players performing, not the Europa. They are at the top of their game, they should know how to cope.
