I know this is not the point but I would have not paid £9 for the dude coming out of Blackburn away last year. Oh yeah you can imagine the main entrance doors reading "95% off whilst stocks last".
Pope has gone , and JBG is poised for a medical today. By my reckoning that is £4.85m received in transfer fees so far this summer, and only £0.65m spent. And they call it strengthening.
I saw your tweet on that @Royston Vasey. Couldn't agree more. They spend but a fraction of what they're selling our players for. I guarantee the money he makes off us is funding Sint Truidense V.V., Újpest, FC Carl Zeiss Jena and AD Alcorcón. I say Charlton money for Charlton!
I RT'd that tweet Royston, the fact we've received far more than we've outlayed needs to be known to more and more CAFC fans. Still so many without a clue
According to RM and KM Roland is putting £1m a month into Charlton. It seems RM is now fully integrated into the culture of lies and deceit. They really do think the fans are stupid. Admittedly in a few cases they are right, but they seem to think they can fool all of the people all of the time.
£1m a month. I call shenanigans on that. Lets face it too, Katrine is not known for her openness and ability to tell the truth.
I have amended the figures, based on what @DonCorleone said yesterday. Money incoming= £4.85m Money spent= £0.64m Roland's lovely profit so far = £4,211,000 And the summer is not over yet....
I imagine Watt, Lookman and Henderson will net Roland circa 3m. Doesn't seem to be much interest in Teixera - we will end up loaning him out, whilst subsiding the majority of his wages, a burden on our wage budget just like Sarr & Igor. Imagine we will sign Buxton, Foley, Crofts, Fon Williams and Simpson. The first three being on a free and the other two would be nominal fees. Katrien will receive a place on 10 sports conferences for doing a great job in balancing the books.
Katrien is playing Russell Slade like a fiddle. He does indeed have control over incoming British players - so long as they are free & don't want too much in wages. As always, the quality of the team is not a consideration. Just to be "competitive" in whatever league we happen to be in.
I stand corrected in this but I am certain that Barry Hearn did spend money on a player whilst in charge at Orient, so if true that would make Slade a good fit for the Belgians. Still think Slade is not a bad manager though.
Fighting a losing battle RD could guarantee promotion spending some of the money he's got from transfers but he won't because he's a ....
JBG confirmed as gone, and Pope having his medical. Tony Watts going to Hearts on loan. Good riddance. Bored to tears with this prima donna. Get rid.
I hear that we are interested in Leyton Orient's Jay Simpson. But the stumbling block are Simpson's wages. Bear in mind that the Os are in Div2. How we have fallen.
Charlton is losing between £5-7m a year, and it now seems pretty clear that the loss for next season is going to be plugged by player sales.
