Off Topic Pop punk.

The type of music you likely hear in films like American Pie etc.

Some may class it as different genres, (usually alternative) but it's still pop punk. And it's usually quite good.

The original bands that pioneered Pop Punk and Power Pop were great and combining fast guitars with 60s melodies has produced some joyous music since the 70s, even the band in my avatar, Hüsker Dü, played a heavy Hardcore kind of Pop Punk and were influenced by Ramones. I think that problem with the genre started around the the start of the millennium when it morphed into a kind of insipid, generic Skate Punk and Emo sound which basically is all the same.

tbh we've been trying to get rid of him for about 4 years. His wumming is good if you suffer from insomnia though.
