Sorry, but that's a joke. If it were true, why would he take off Howson AND Hoolahan (and with any any possibility of some creative spark) rather than taking off Elmander and matching them 5 for 5 in the midfield we yielded time and time again without so much as a whimper?

Fair enough, we were already 2-0 down by that stage, but any sniff of getting a foothhold in the game disappeared into the dugout with those substitutions.

Bradders J may well be 'whole-hearted' but sadly he's way out of his depth in this division and was horribly exposed as such yesterday. Rob Newman Mk 2?

I repeat Cromer, he´s trying what he can to get us out of it, just because what he tries doesn´t necessarily correspond with what you might have tried, doesn´t make it wrong. As you so rightly said, at the time he made the substitutions, we were 2 goals down, I can imagine the moans there would have been if he´d taken off a striker for a midfielder, when we were chasing to get back into the game, and Hoolahan and Howson from what I heard, had done nothing, seemed as justifiable as anything else he could have tried.

RBF isn't that the problem though, that he's trying his hardest yet we still turn out like we did yesterday. Wes and Howson had granted done very little however they can both create something and drive us, we were basically left with Snodgrass as our only attacking driving force some much so that he started playing in the middle. Johnson was sent on to lock the stable door after the horse had bolted and I literally have no idea what Gutierrez offers aside from balancing out our formation, he worked hard but he rarely if ever played a probing pass or went round a player. The pace of redmond would have been helpful Joans wasn't.

Granted Bath, I would also have preferred to have seen Redmond given a run, but we don´t all see it the same way.
