Apparently Rooney is no longer our only choice, despite us saying it was him or bust.

Now considering the likelihood of us buying him is pretty low it seems poor old Rooney has been left in the lurch. Out of favour and out of options at United with no one stupid enough (bar us apparently) to bid for him it seems he may have backed himself into a corner that will see him stuck there until his contract runs out.
I personally don't think we need him, nor do I really want him primarily for the fact he will cost an arm and a leg and his recent(!) form doesn't warrant the money will will pay him nor for him. Does anyone have any sympathy for him? Or is this a case of him having made his bed?
 
While there are still question marks over whether Lukaku and Nando can deliver under the Special One, I would still be keen to see him in blue!

Thought Torres played well against Hull (admittedly not stellar opposition, but the signs are there - 3/4 goal-scoring chances created for others and won a penalty). It is his running that drags the CBs away, allowing space for Mazacar to flourish. That is always underestimated and why he is such a good team player.
 
Plan B? Ermmmmmmmmm Doris the tea lady to spearhead the attack bulldozing through the middle with her trolley. Plan C? Dig up Ossie and send his ashes to Ireland and search for Matholwch's cauldron of life and throw the mortal remains in and wait for an army of Osgood's to emerge.

I have none. Why do these dopes sign long term contracts when football is a season by season risk ?? Let him rot in Manchester, his £300,000 per week should help him get over it.

Cant see why you have question marks over these 2 -

Torres is no longer the lethal marksman he was but I'm not sure there is a more unselfish striker who has the true ability to bring your Magnificos into play - I actually see your Magnificent 6 as your strength and Torres complements them perfectly. If you get 10-15 goals from each of them 6 who needs a 25 a season striker?
Lukaku? - Not as skillfull as Torres but holds the line well and brings others into play and more instinctive to take pot shots when the chance is there. Make no doubt though that he is mustard.

As for Ba - Well if you think you were playing with 10 players at some point last season, well you're playing with 9 when this lump is in the side as he's that bad!!
 
Rooney is too much of a coward to hand in a transfer request. He knows no one else but Chelsea would pay him what he wants so he can't endanger his Man Utd contract.

More likely he doesnt want to hand in a request because he will forfeit his contract buyout at United.
Wont they have to chuck him like £5 million if they transfer him without a request by buying out his contract?
Its like me saying to my boss, right I want to leave, I have another firm who want me, but instead of handing in my resignation, I want you to make me redundant so you have to pay me a fat wedge to leave a join a rival firm.

Cant blame Utd in that respect at all, its shocking behaviour.
If you want to leave, you should be required to hand in a transfer request, pure and simple.
