We'd have finished on 100 points without bad refereeing if you believed this thread.

Not defending the ref or linesman here but did anybody think Humes foul was a sending off? I did. We got away with that one.

That and the points we have been cheated out of by incompetent officials. We would be 15 behind if offside was called right even 12 if penalty was awarded for that handball and we got 3 points and they got **** all! Add another 6 or so for poor decisions against Blackburn, Rotherham, Swansea and a couple of others. Them home draws against Preston and Blackpool I think it was when Stewart was injured first time and Simms was out aswell, we would have won both them if we had a bit of presence up front.

Already we are 2 or so points behind 2nd.

I know it's not thay simple but that's how many points we have lost through poor decisions by refs and injuries to key players!

Strong yellow for me, an orange card if you will. It was a bit wild and OTT but it was from the front (I think?) and the most important thing he didn't lift his foot they were both low to the ground.

Boro fans have argued that their player didn’t foul Stewart, for the sending off. I bet there are a few fortunate decisions our way that we don’t recall due to human nature being what it is.

I see the officials apologised to Mowbray for allowing their second goal.

The whole thing is unbelievable. They officiate a publicly funded task. Effectively paid by the public. Yet the discussions which lead to decisions are completely private. The only people who will hear them are people who are in control of them.

In rugby, the decision process is public. You can literally hear what the refs say. But football thinks it knows better. Time wasting, poor decisions, what eeems a complete lack of understanding from a public perspective.

So they should be with VAR to keep them right,

I know that VAR came in for lots of stick when it was first introduced, but most of the obvious shortcomings have been eliminated and while mistakes still happen this tends to be down to the human factor.

So, why not more agitation to get VAR introduce into the Championship, with a view to it eventually being available to the First and Second Divisions too?
