Looks like a good player but to be fair he plays in such a way that he is inviting challenges. And not wearing shin pads is outright stupid when you play in such a way.

He may have gotten away with it in youth teams but he is going to have lumps kicked out of him every week if he stands on the ball waiting to draw a challenge.

It's a dangerous way to play. Sterling was similar, then he got kicked to **** and went off the boil and was dropped. He's come back a more clever player and is excelling.

If he carries on without shinpads, it's only a matter of time before someone Busst's his leg.

EDIT: that wasn't intended to be a pun, I was just simply referring to David Busst

You're just inviting all sorts of problems by not wearing them. Sure it may make him feel like he has more agility and movement but he also may end up in a cast with a broken shin.

Shin pads are a requirement and he'll be in trouble if he wasn't wearing them.

Who said he wasn't wearing any?

I heard a mention on the stream but I wasn't paying full attention, I presumed he'd lost them in a challenge.

He has been doing it for a while.

Apparently he does wear them but very small ones and Notts County mentioned it.

FIFA rules regarding shin guards say..
. are covered entirely by the stockings
• are made of rubber, plastic or a similar suitable material
• provide a reasonable degree of protection

Which I would presume they don't.

You're right there - something to do with blood transference & the danger thereof...I suspect he was wearing a skinny lightweight model ( not Twiggy !) otherwise he'd be in serious ****.

Looked like they were so tiny to be non-existent and then had his socks pulled down. Surprised Clattenburg didn't have a word with him Plus the hair has to go!

They broke the rules, game void, 3 points and a 3-0 win to us! :1980_boogie_down:

He looks like a decent talent and the Villa fans seem to rate him very highly. Not sure what we were playing at though when we took him out five times in the space of ten minutes.
