You don't think you need a proper midfielder that can protect the back 4?

I do, I just don't think Parker is the player that we need. We bid for M'Villa in the summer, hopefully we'll go back with another bid in Jan.

The worrying thing for Arsenal is that they're already 8 points behind both Manchester clubs and this is after only 5 games, not only that but they both have a game in hand and can extend that to 11 their next match. I can't see Champions League football for them next year, other teams have strengthened plenty and have closed the gap.

Makes me think of the trajectory of results quote from a Mr Cook :D, Arsene could spin it into a positive in his next interview I am sure.

  7. The real worry for them is that they don't usually go into free-fall until the last few games of the season. This season, they've started off in free-fall, and if nothing changes, they are going to be in serious trouble before Christmas.

I really cannot see Wenger surviving this.

"No, you are considered a WUM because you've tipped us to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table which is preposterous. We may be looking awful at the moment, but we're not THAT awful. I can accept other people's opinions, but when someone comes out with rubbish like that, it does beggar belief. I don't think any pragmatical Spurs fan can profess that Arsenal are a midtable club. Unless they are a WUM. I'm still on the fence."

What I actually said is that you will struggle to finish in the top half of the table IF nothing changes.

But, hey! Let's not let facts get in the way of your feverish paranoia, let alone your failure to face reality <ok>
