Yeah sometimes a man just does crave KFC or Burger King.
But I wouldn't rate the quality of Cornwalls culinary offerings by the quality of their KFC HIAG.

My maternal grandmother is Cornish and we used to go their a lot as children to visit my mums aunts, and I remember the local cafes and restaurants being exceptional.
I dont recall the names, as it was 25 years ago, but I remember that they were very good.

Cornwall is firmly on the foodie map these days. I run my own health food business and I supply several restaurants locally, they are all looking for local, organic food and their standards are top notch. A friend of mine is a sommelier and works for many of the top London restaurants, he works with head chefs who source beef, lamb and chicken specially ordered from Cornish farms and sent up overnight on the train.

When you consider that alongside Cornish farms, vineyards and small producers like cheese, wine, bread, meat etc, there is a thriving fishing industry. Then you begin to understand why chefs like Jamie Oliver, Rick stein, Anthony Worral Thompson, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan outlaw all have restaurants or are patrons of food festivals here in Cornwall.

Add to that, that we have a burgeoning micro brewery industry as well as several small vineyards producing Cornish wine and you can see why it's a foodie heaven.

Harvester HIAG simply hasn't got a clue.

HIAG is the VIZ character Aldridge Prior the pathological liar, whose lies are ludicrous, such as The Nolan Sisters living in his fridge, that he is a Rock God, that he is a hot shot lawyer, and that he is a part time property magnate

Prior is instantly recognizable for his retro dress sense, usually a spurs bobble hat, a tartan jacket with a sheepskin collar and a pair of uncomfortable-looking platform shoes.
Almost all of his dialogue is complete lies. Prior claimed that he was a Formula One driver and that he was Steve McQueen's body double, yet everyone seems to disbelieve him.
Once he claimed to be in Vegas in California. He also claimed he was born in New Zealand and was part of this country's 1984 winning Olympic rowing team.
His mode of transport is a 20 year old Rover, which he crashed after a trip to the drive thru KFC, after attempting to perform a hand brake turn whilst blindfolded.

I've largely tried to stay out of your squabble with Mildred recently but I did think his comment about Cornwall's food industry was remarkably stupid even by his own standards. The guy seems to know **** all about almost everything. A proper Tim Nice But Dim.
