Guise, sometimes popular GC members aren't capable of sticking up for themselves and I, along with Barrie, sometimes feel the need to step in. Jordan doesn't let Harvey get bullied, and this is exactly like the same thing. Mick is basically GC's Harvey Price.
Personally, I'd use while but wile seems to have been legitimized by frequent usage. In essence, however, to wile away makes no logical sense.
