There is a chance it could feel like a case of after the Lord Mayor's Show when West Brom visit Fratton Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The contest comes just six days after an intense and passionate south coast derby on Pompey's patch finished all square.
But the respecitve positions of the two sides in the Championship standings means this contest is arguably the more important of the two.
John Mousinho's men are hovering one place above the drop zone, despite losing just one of their past eight league fixtures.
The Baggies, meanwhile, have tumbled down the table in recent weeks and are only one spot – and a couple of points – better off in 20th position.
They recently dismissed boss Ryan Mason, who was appointed last summer, and replaced him with Eric Ramsay, who had been in charge of Minnesota United in the MLS.
He did not get off to the best start, with a late goal condemning Albion to a late home defeat to Middlesbrough, while the side were then thrashed 5-0 at The Hawthorns by Norwich.
The new man did collect a first point at Derby last Friday evening, however, courtesy of Chris Mepham's stoppage-time header.
Colby Bishop was on target in a 1-1 draw when the sides met in the reverse fixture, while West Brom eased to a 3-0 victory on their most recent visit to the Blues' patch in September 2024.

TEAM NEWS
Pompey have a number of injury problems, but Callum Lang could return from a hamstring problem, while new signing Aji Alese will be hoping to make his debut.
The hosts are still without Florian Bianchini (knee), Harvey Blair (hip), Josh Knight (back), Márk Kosznovszky (knee), Hayden Matthews (ankle), Josh Murphy (hamstring), Conor Shaughnessy (quad), Franco Umeh (hamstring) and Thomas Waddingham (thigh), while Regan Poole (groin) is a doubt.
Tammer Bany (thigh), Krystian Bielik (shoulder) and Karlan Grant (hamstring) are all expected to miss out for the visitors, but former Blues players Jed Wallace and Josh Griffiths should make the trip down.

New centre half Aji Alese named on the bench, with fit again Regan Poole starting the match alongside Conor Ogilvie. Ibane Bowat drops to the bench, with Keshi Anderson also on the subs bench.

Ex Pompey player Jed Wallace starts on the bench for WBA, along with former Pompey loanee keeper Josh Griffiths.

Conor Chaplin came close to scoring for Portsmouth with a shot that just went wide after a good build-up play.

Terry Devlin managed a pull back, allowing Conor Chaplin to stab it towards the goal. 4 minutes.

1-0 up with a Conor Chaplin goal - his first goal of the season! 20 minutes.

Conor Chaplin with a left footed shot from the centre of the box, hitting the high centre of the goal. The assist came from Millenic Alli.

2-0 ahead now with a Millenic Ali goal. Andre Dozzell plays a fine pass that sends Millenic Alli racing clear and he slots the ball through O'Leary's legs to open his Pompey account. 25 minutes.

More good play from Pompey and when the ball is worked to Terry Devlin, his fierce strike takes a deflection, which takes the sting out of it and allows O'Leary to gather. 38 minutes.

Half time whistle. 2-0 ahead, against a poor visiting side. We have been in control totally in the first half, nice to see both Conor Chaplin and Millenic Ali scoring, but it could easily have been at least 4 or 5 goals if we had taken our chances!
