That is an alarming statistic for a team that is two places behind Sunderland but is actually nearer Plymouth in points difference. I would say Pompey are safe from relegation.

I wrote on your board a few weeks ago that you had finally unlocked the key to promotion. You´ll get there and with prudent acquistion challenge for promotion next season. Why not? Southampton and Norwich did it, so why not Sunderland?

 

I feel like crying. Not because Sunderland beat us but because Pompey fans deserve better than what is being supplied by the team and the senior management of the club both on and off the pitch. God, how we need a Harry Redknapp!!!

 

We've been dire for a while now.

Manager should not be there and everyone knows it including the players.

 

I think next season would be a little early. The Championship is a huge step up, we really need to bring in more quality to do well in that league. If we can get there in 3 attempts, I'll see that as a massive success especially where we were just a few months ago. We looked like the play-offs might be out of our grasp, the football we played was dire and the owner didn't have a pot to piss in. A new owner, new manager and we have got the momentum behind us, now.

I'm very confident we will be one of the teams that go up automatically.

Next season. I´ll say it again. Treading water is lethal. It is never too early to go for promotion. Having said that, Southampton went up from League 1 with 5 PL quality players in their squad (Lallana, Lambert, Fonte, Guly and Kelvin Davis).

 

Kelvin is one of the worst keepers to play for Sunderland. Up there with Lee Camp.
