Well at least we can find out before the replay whether it is worth trying or not depending on who we get in the draw. Knowing our luck, we'll get someone like Doncaster or Derby.
Dreadful game but I’d have taken the draw beforehand. Thought we were marginally better in terms of chances but you coped better with the conditions. Also looked like your guy stamped on ours when it all kicked off then went down himself. Ref was even worse than the players.
Not the result that the doctor warranted. Games piling up thick and fast on our squad. I suppose today was a test to see if Pompey could handle a reasonable Championship side, and the answer is yes. We await a replay that was needed like a hole in the head.
Yes, a heavy challenge by Ronan Curtis on Scowen, which deserved a yellow card, however the reaction by all the QPR outfield players immediately afterwards was shocking, with from what I could see a number of kicks being aimed at Curtis, whilst he was laying on the pitch. Not nice to see...... Louis Dennis was excellent, bearing in mind his lack of games, with some superb passing, and he so nearly scored right on half time with a lovely flick which was just finger tipped over the bar by Lumley. Even first half, but we came out for the second half looking by far the better side for the first 20 minutes. Lee Brown put in a nice cross from the left, which QPR defender Joel Lynch sliced into his own net. QPR equalised 11 minutes later with Nahki Wells scoring after the ball bounced around in the box. A draw was probably the fairest result. The replay will be interesting. Jack Whatmough was named man of the match. He played well, but I would have chosen Louis Dennis, who had an excellent game to my mind.
