Millwall triple subs: Wintle, Mitchell and Langstaff for Bangura-Williams, De Norre and Ivanović. 68 minutes.
Andre Dozzell can't convert Matt Ritchie's cross and then his follow-up attempt is blocked. 72 minutes.
Pompey double sub: Conor Shaughnessy replaces Hayden Matthews, and Thomas Waddingham on for Matt Ritchie. 78 minutes.
Final whistle. 0-1 loss, but we did play well against, one must say, a time wasting, somewhat dirty team.

Thanks for the input as always Woops. This was the must win we didn't win so it is hard to be too satisfied. Basically we had the edge possession wise but could not create enough good chances. I could not understand Towler's omission from the squad - let alone the starting eleven. I cannot understand how Mattews, an unknown but known not to be familiar with the pace of the Championship, can leap frog Towler (and Mcintyre for that matter ) in the pecking order.at best Matthews should have been the substitute and Towler the in the starting eleven. Hopefully Shaughnessy will come in and resolve the problem - so good to see him back. I thought Haydon's performance was encouraging. Todate I had wondered if he is an improvement on Dozzel but if he gets match fit he may have more 'box to box' potential. So if we can't win the must wins we have to get something from the unlikely wins - Burnley and Sheffield United coming up!!!!!!! PUP
