Very frustrating that was. Made it down today and ended up in the blazing sun of the North stand. Almost melted! As for the game - christ were we wasteful. We had 2 or 3 flash past their post and that header over from point blank. First half we really should have put the game to bed. Yet again we concended easily. We have a leaky defence. Feels like we need to score at least 2 to win at the moment. They created few chances but I held my breath at each one. Fleetwood got better as the game went on and we became less threatening in the last 20. We struggled to put a good ball in today. Set pieces were really poor - we had about 4 freekicks in good positions and failed to beat the first man in probably 3 of them and blazed one over. Ref was bloody useless. Hope not to see him at Fratton for a while. 2 points dropped. We need to sort out our defence - doesn't help our keeper isn't good enough atm either.
A disappointing result but Fleetwood have a record of being hard to breakdown. We did at least achieve mid field dominance (unlike the Plymouth and Ipswich games) and did create chances. With Raffety, Lowrey and Jacobs all coming back shortly we should retain optimism PUP
