I still don't think that Kenny Jacket has "found" his best side yet. We currently have quite a few players out injured, in Harness / Brown / Hawkins / Williams / Brown / Whatmough / Morris /Mnoga, so not easy to select an unchanged squad.

I do hope it all falls into place in the next few weeks. Agree that Brett Pitman who is a regular goalscorer, deserves a regular start in the side alongside John Marquis.

I see in the News that Pitman has had the captaincy taken from him, Naylor having replaced him. It is clearly sensible that the captain is a regular first team player rather than a 'fringe' player which Pitman has become. However I think Pitman's personality is also relevant.

It is hard to carry the logic of having a regular first team player over into the replacement of Evans with Lee Brown as vice captain.
Firstly Evans appears to portray a good attitude on the pitch. Secondly Lee Brown is currently injured. It does not send a good message to Haustrup. It may appear to say "no matter how well you play you will be replaced by Brown when he is fit"
If the change in vice captaincy is deemed appropriate - and I am not sure it is -it should have been delayed until, if and when, Brown is re-established in the side.
Since virtually all relevant decisions are made on the touchline the captaincy roles are largely symbolic nowadays but the choices are relevant to team spirit and such changes should be made with some delicacy.

I'm sorry but I'm still not over the Coventry debacle. I mean, emotionally I am but in terms of my faith in Kenny being massively damaged, that remains and there has been nothing since to convince me my lack of faith is misplaced. Yes injuries happen, but decisions also have an impact and they include going ultra defensive when being 2 men up at home and refusing to play one of our best players and in fact taking the piss by bringing him on in the 90th minute when we should be going for a win, not to mention stripping him of the captaincy just because he dared to speak out against Kenny. It reminds me of Paul Hart and his refusal to play angelos basinas and theofanis gekas back in the day... Because we had so many better players...
