Win or bust as far as the playoffs are concerned.
I hope the crowd don't put too much pressure on the guys

Second half starts with Christian Burgess on for Jack Whatmough and Stuart O'Keefe on for Nathan Thompson.

Pitman had the best chance of the afternoon - it went over but he was offside anyway.

    Match finishes 0-1 Charlton

We just weren't good enough in the end. Bye bye play-offs.

Well said 3rd eye - spot on !

Jason Pearce controlled Brett Pitman throughout the match, mostly fairly, sometimes unfairly. Brett's second half free kick was superbly pushed over the bar by their keeper.

Charlton thoroughly deserved their win, and I really hope they win the playoffs. Their fans were vociferous, the only complaint being the large number of red smoke bombs they throw onto the pitch after they scored, and also at the end of the game. How on earth did they smuggle them past the stewards into the ground in the first place?!

What a let down in front of over 19,000 fans. Having said that I always felt that Charlton would get the victory today. Now we can begin to review the season in an objective manner. Who to keep, who to let go? Although I live in Mallorca, I believe central midfield is not dominant enough thus starving Pitman and the other forwards of many more goalscoring opportunites. Do PFC need to press higher up the pitch?

Secondly, if a serious bid for promotion is on the cards next season, then the budget needs to be increased. With gates around 17,000 there must be scope to increase that without putting the club into serious debt.

It seems as if Chaplin is not a favourite of Jackett so perhaps it would be fair to allow him to move on. I am sure someone like Luton would willingly buy him.

Will Jackett stay? Maybe but only if the club is going to really go for promotion next season. That said the real focus will be on Sunderland as every club in the división will be wanting that particular scalp. So just maybe PFC can get to the top without too much pressure.

I hope the club are continuing to scour the non-League for fruitful pickings. We have had some gems in the past. I seem to remember a player called Burns who playing in the sf in 1992. Now we have Lowe who has been one of the plus factors of the season.

Apparenly it wasn't all their away fans, according to one of the coppers there were a lot of Millwall fans in the Charlton end - it all kicked off in the Milton end at full time as they were just down for the ruck, lots of met police around as well and it's why they got kettled down Winston Churchill Ave before the match. Also one of the stewards got hurt by one of the smoke bombs.

Having the likes of Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham, Wolves, Boro, Sheffield United and Forest in the Championship is surely more than enough for the rucking Millwall fans?

I would have thought Millwall fans would want to have it with Charlton, rather than us.

Charlton fans and rucking is rather a misfit. They are not known for this kind of behaviour. Maybe Millwall´s rucking followers will turn up at Wembley to take on Chelsea´s peace-loving fans.

A poor effort first half really cost us - galling that the best player on the pitch used to be ours - not seen Brett snuffed out like that this season. Obviously the 2 injuries forced changes that may not have been made. Overall they definitely edged a deserved win - still think we have slightly over achieved this year especially when you factor in injuries and budget. There was a view of who and how much on Twitter - we are pretty middle to be honest with just over 5.2M.

What is PFC income compared with expenditure this season? What is desperately needed is a new North Stand a la Bristol City, that can be used in lots of ways to generate cash! It might cost 30 or 40 million but that would be paid off over 25 years.
