For some reason, we seem to struggle at home, and play better away from home.

An insult to Pompey fans in a way, seeing as our decent crowds support them in numbers, only to be let down again and again, and again.....

Bring back David Connolly, I say.

Someone I know left at half-time, first time he has ever done that.

Richie Barker is still saying that we're papering over the cracks - a thinly veiled criticism of Guy Whittingham. He also said it will be this way until he's managed to get in his own players in the summer. Obviously a clear-out of the current squad is on the cards, and he did say that when he first took over. But it isn't making the players feel confident and want to play for him.

He may well be right but he has brought in at least 8 players of his own already. With what is being dished up at the moment it could well impact on next season's budget.

It sounded pretty dire in the first half, so I can't really blame him to be honest.

I can't make mid week matches at FP, since good old Wightlink run the last catamaran to Ryde at 10.15 pm. Done me a favour really, as I dont think I could stand the depression having to travel home after yet another crap home performance <laugh>

I had noticed you were online during the week which is unusual - have you mentioned this to the club? Not that they run Wightlink but there are times when they can bring their influence to bear, if they know about it.

Wightlink are a law unto themselves. They appear to treat both their employees and customers with equal disdain. Owned by an Australian bank, so not local. I doubt they would listen to anyone, even representations from PFC.

There are quite a few Pompey fans who travel from the I.O.W.

I think I am right in saying that Red Funnel do lay on a late RedJet from Southampton to Cowes for Saints fans travelling back to the island.

Thing is guys when you look at our home crowds of 15-17k, these teams come to FP and think its like an appearance at Wembley, they never play to big crowds and then raise their game, its a shame our lads don't!<grr>
