Reading between the lines, the downside is Pompey´s sloppy defence. There always seems to be a goal for the opposition waiting to happen. The plus seems to be that Ronan Curtis is getting his mojo back. Thus, far, it appears that Pompey are a Jeckyll and Hyde team, struggling to overcome obdurate opponents in the league, but much more relaxed in the cup competitions. What PFC need is a sequence of three wins in the league to propel them up the table.
