@The Ides of March - Hello Ides, how are you? Good to see you back on here, you have been sadly missed!
Neat, nice to get a cleansheet, and also nice to be off the bottom. Two wins in three is good going. Also, some fun stats from the Beeb: Portsmouth’s 3-0 win against Bristol City means that they have won back-to-back home games in the second tier of English football for the first time since March 2012 – it was Pompey’s largest league win against the Robins since a 4-1 victory in March 1991. Man 2012 was a year
So relaxing not to on the edge of my seat for the last 15 minutes of a Pompey game!! We have had so many games this season that could have gone either way without imposing great injustice on either side - to win so clearly imposed the type of boredom I can tolerate. Two suspensions just when we seem to have a more settled eleven. From another angle though not an entirely bad thing given the forthcoming fixture congestion some resting of players may be necessary anyway. I would slightly favour bring Pack back to mid field and bringing in either McIntyre or Towler, over bringing in Moxon. Up front Lang will be hard to replace -even for a game. It will be between lane and Saydee. I would favour Lane. Much of our recent improvement has come from the 'Pompey Press' which demands a lot of running from the forwards and Lane is best suited to provide that. A big week ahead! PUP
