Pompey break quickly from an Accrington corner and Conor Ogilvie finds Colby Bishop, who arrows a low shot just past the post. 83 minutes.

Final whistle, and it's a 1-0 home win for Pompey. A win at last, after 4 successive draws :1980_boogie_down:

So that was the very definition of an ugly win and I can see why we've drawn a lot of games recently. Lots of running but little quality and also a reluctance to shoot. Also a few mistakes, like pretty much passing the ball directly to an Accrington player from a free kick which almost led to a goal to them. Also Macy's distribution didn't seem great. Was convinced Accrington would score before the end. And humourous chants were probably the best part of the game.

On the positive side, the stadium is looking nice. Glad they got rid of that graffiti covered wall with barbed wire on by the north stand, and it's good that there's seat and row numbers.

Also interesting that there was like a DJ and skills challenge thing and a food kiosk that looked better than the usual burgers and boveril nonsense you get, kinda gave me NFL tailgating vibes. Nice that something is being done to improve the match day experience as a whole. To me going to a football game is much more than just the 90 or so minutes of football.

My 8 year old nephew enjoyed his first Portsmouth game at least
