    This is pretty much what I expected. I don't think that there was any real likely chance of them being liquidated on the 10th - Birch simply used this date as an opportunity to 'emotionally blackmail' the first team players they wanted to leave and give a deadline to prospective buyers. This date is also very convenient - as it enables them to clear shop and get some players on board before their first game next week.

    TBH has gone. Liam Lawrence is either going to Cardiff or staying with a new, affordable contract. So the club is now effectively safe. Just five days to sign an entire squad for Tuesday's League Cup tie at Plymouth <yikes>

    My god, do you mean the 10th of August DEADline was just a bit of emotional blackmail to put pressure on the players to forego the money they are legally owed!?!?! WELL I NEVER!!! NEVER SAW THAT COMING!!!

    I suggest all the businesses that Pompey owe money take a similar approach.

    They'll be back in the ****e again within a few months. Guarantee it.

    It looks like Portsmouth will be safe for a little while longer. Do us Saints fans want them to go bust? When Norris equalised I died inside and wanted them to, but then I thought that they can't go out of business with us not beating them in our last encounter! :biggrin:

    When Norris scored it was horrible, but at the same time I realised that it was an amazing moment for them that they probably deserved. I want them to survive and I want us to play them again.
