I was being polite. You're obviously some kind of arsehole if you think anybodies opinion that differs from yours doesn't count. It's a ****ish thing to say.
Daws 35, Barmby 36, Deano 40, Faye 36, all playing / played for us in the Championship/ PL and I suspect I've missed a few out - he maybe at the end of his career but not because of his age, there really isn't much call for someone whose main attributes are lunging in and hoofing the ball
make your mind up - one minute he's the best centre back outside the top 6 in the Prem, then he should be playing instead of Hector and then you agree that he should be in League 1 on the bench because he's past it - you're all over the place - incidentally Hector was excellent today
Very well said Arnie. I obviously don't get to see many of our games in person anymore but I did get to our Cup Final appearance a few years ago and I've always felt that Alex's going off injured mid-way through the second half with us still leading was the turning point in the game. He had nearly put us 3-0 up after 18 minutes with his goal-bound header toward the top corner that Gibbs headed off the line, and had been outstanding against the Arsenal attack prior to his injury. Alex was not only hard as nails on the field. as exemplified by the two crunching tackles in Plums video earlier, but always very decent and courteous in his TV interviews. A fine young gentleman. His distribution was sometimes lacking but defensively he never let us down. I've always felt that the criticism that he was only in the team because of nepotism was very unfair.
I don't care what you think. I don't mind you disagreeing with it, not at all, but to suggest my opinion is worth less than yours is out of order. The fact you put it out as fact is also bullshit. Sort yourself out soft lad.
Soft lad There's only you and Sharon that have that misguided 'Opinion'. You're a really **** judge of a player if that's what you think.
It's based on watching him play. I am of the opinion that you need to have more than one facet to your game to be a quality footballer or even a good one. My concern has never been with how hard he tried or any of the mental aspect of his game, it's with his actual ability in comparison to others. If that means disagreeing with you then so be it, it isn't going to change just because some people on a forum don't share that opinion. It isn't misguided or wrong. And you keep arguing back like that's going to make a difference. Just leave it.
It has been left. He was a good servant to the club and did the defensive side of the job better than most. That is after all the primary role of a defender, to defend. That seems to have escaped some people.
