I know a lot of fans knowledge is limited to their own team/league but surely people have heard of Paolo Montero? Juventus legend.

It's like having never heard of Cannavaro or Maldini.

Why? He's a damn sight more appealing than Phil Neville or some of the other names mentioned.

    Is he?

You get blinded by big names. Not relevant how good they were as footballers.

    Doesn’t mean he’s a good manager pal.

    Big name means **** all.

How did Maradonna’s managerial career go?

Would be shocked if we weren’t interested to be honest. His stock will never be higher either if he’s making the move he’s gonna do it now.

Interested to see if we have a word.

The name means nothing to me Parker.

I've no interest in foreign football clubs at all. The only names who sink in are those making an impact at big tournaments or those coming into our leagues and there's now so many of them I couldn't name a fraction of them.

My lads are just the opposite. They're like walking football encyclopaedias.

This Montero guy looks too big a gamble to warrant attention to me.

How do you get that? According to a statement apparently from the club in the Express, he's not under consideration

To think all the managers on the rise you dismissed who are far more qualified. You wrote off a 50 year old with nearly 500 games experience as a manager working at skint clubs delivering results, and you are now championing this ****e. Montero has around 50 games managing experience in south america. On what planet is that in any way appealing? Your logic has no consistency what so ever. <laugh>

All I said was that he was more appealing than Phil Neville (so is a bout of syphilis) and some of the other names e.g Redknapp, Phil Brown etc

Aye play it down, pretend you didn't put his name forward with optimism while putting down better suitors. Like I haven't read the New Manager thread where you said "Montero with a young English coach as number 2 just intriges me" and "Better pedigree than Di Canio but some of his better principles perhaps along with better tactical nous"

But he's got less relevant experience than Hurst or Cook or Nathan Jones.
