See, that's the problem, Hull City are the rugby team apparently, we are actually Hull City AFC. Wouldn't be any confusion with Hull Tigers now I think about it...can I change my vote?

Other than the fact Hull Tigers sounds silly I actually wouldn't be that bothered. Who cares about a name anyway? With the rebranding required it would be a pointless waste of money though.

I'm in 100% agreement clapper, if only we could get hull out the name then we could deny any association and avoid any confusion with the rugby club.

Yorkshire Tigers would be good, would help us spread our wings locally and attract new supporters from the other areas of Yorkshire.

Or at least the EY Tigers.

I don\t think the question is phrased properly.
    "should" is probably a no

but "how upset will you be if" or "will you still support the club if" would be not much and of course respectively

i dont like the name Hull Tigers , thought i wouldn't oppose it if it was for the greater good of the club ...

Many clubs have changed their names in the past for one reason or another.

As mentioned Yorkshire Tigers may as well be our name if we are doing it for solely financial reasons ,

I can't think of another valid reason to change the name , it wont affect what i call City , i dont think ive ever called the Club Hull City to
anyone in the area anyway .
Its either The Tigers or City

How about they rename FC 'Hull Tigers', change their kit to black and amber hoops and have them walk out to Elvis? Think of the money it'll generate in Mongolia and Guam and wherever else they watch Rugby League that isn't a working class Northern town.

No confusion at all except with retards. Hull FC and Hull KR are the rugby teams end of.

Hull City is the football team despite what some muppets may have you believe. <ok>

Maybe the moderators can comment on whether the term 'yanks' is racist and offends our American posters?

I know some American people who will be deeply offended by this term and all the stereotypical nonsense that comes with it.

Can the term 'yank' be used without fear of prosecution?

Calling an american a yank is no worse than the aussies calling us poms. Far too many people overly sensative nowadays.
