    looks like the decision might be made for us. he's 3/1 to take the Brighton job.
    personally I'd like to see uwe rossler with steve gallen as his assistant. bircham to take over the u-18's then.

    I voted "other". This is a results-based business, but I'm willing (in the interests of something resembling continuity and stability) to forgive him the failure to avoid relegation, to forgive him his 'rent-a-quote' persona, and to forgive him criticising everyone but himself for the demise of the Rs, on the understanding that he builds a squad that makes a decent fist of life in the Championship next season. I am not expecting promotion, but I want him to go for it nonetheless. But I want the Rs to be there or thereabouts come next May.

    Yes, but its conditional on him fixing the team's ills and giving next season a decent go. I suspect we'll know pretty soon into 2013/14 if he's made progress on these fronts.

    Give him next season. All this chopping and changing of staff is a disaster.

    Looking at the different options, 'Go now' is conditional on who comes in, so coupled with StevenageR's point I can't go for that;
    'Till Christmas'? I think if things aren't going to plan he will have walked before then;
    'Too depressed to care'? I still care, despite everything.
    'A full season' Again, if he tackles the necessary pre-season changes with vigour and imposes his vision and authority on the squad, yes. If he carries on moaning and looking for mega-buys over the next couple of weeks the writing is on the wall for his prospects of success at our club.

    I selected 'other', but it was a 'go now' really but only as long as he resigns.

    Wouldnt want him to be paid off to the end of his contract considering how bad a job he's done

    The problem is that despite HR moaning and groaning (and thus depreciating out Assets and reducing the players resal value) he is probably the best one to have to wheel and deal his way out of this squad and reassemble another.
    It would be a tough ask for any new Manager to have to do that as his first task.

    I'm not too depressed to care but do agree that maybe Harry should walk now, providing of course, we have a new shining light that will grow with the club.

    What we DON'T want in a manager -

    1 - ............... Been around the traps far too long and just need another job / pay cheque. ( numerous )
    2 - ................ A manager from another football league who thinks he can cut it, but doubtful ( Lennon )
    2 - ............... Too young and inexperience but hey, he'll give it a go because he's cheap. ( numerous )

    What we DO need in a manager -

    1- ............... Someone who is up and coming with some backbone and desire. ( Poyet ???????? )
    2 - .............. Possible very experienced manager who is proven at getting teams into the PL. ( Holloway )

    Bad qualities to stay away from of a manager - Big mouth, always whining about this and that. Thinks he's bigger than the team ( Decanio )

    Good qualities to look for in a manager - Quite, says little and gets on with the job. Not looking to jump ship soon as they have one good season ( Martinez )
    Anyway, just a few thoughts.

    Interesting - as it stands at the moment, 17 want Harry to go and 17 want him to stay at least until Christmas.

    The division in the dressing room is spreading to the fans <yikes>

    I would hazard a guess that many of those wanting him to stay do so somewhat reluctantly; mainly to do with revolving door issues and 'stability' and not knowing who comes next, rather than a firm conviction that he's the right man for the job.

    Good analysis, there's very very few in the last category, sadly.
