Wrong thread : There is no such thing as politics anymore, only commerce
Oh dear Jeremy Corbyn is a principled man with strong ideals and for that he should be admired (even though I don't agree with a lot of what he says) but unfortunately a leader he is not.
I would like to retract this statement, it appears he is an egomaniac who doesn't care if he pulls the Labour party apart.
I am a fan of Jeremy Corbyn and you're right.I'm no fan of Corbyn. But the press are really doing a number on him here.
Would a spat between Richard Branson and Theresa May elicit this sort of coverage? Doubt it.
Corbyn handled himself well there I thought. You must log in or register to see media
Hoping this won't pass - Labour will oppose it, and hopefully some Tories too.The Human Rights Act will be scrapped in favour of a British Bill of Rights by the new Government, the Justice Secretary has pledged.
A new British Bill of Rights will be introduced, Liz Truss has insisted, dismissing speculation that the Government is planning to scrap the manifesto pledge.

I am Labour through & Through , Don't want corbyn as Leader . However , I am with him on this . See the article DTLW posted .
Some socialists can spell idiocies though...Ed Balls has actually said something worthy for once. Corbyn does live in a bubble much like other socialists of his ilk. The Labour leader's political ideology is dangerous. I admire his stance against the EU but the last thing Britain needs is a man prepared to plunge it into the idiocicies of socialism.

Depends what they change it to tbh. It could get even worse, so I will wait and see.Good. The Human Rights Act isn't really fit for purpose.
So you think zero hours contracts were commonplace a generation ago???? It's already started..I heard they are going to make us work six 12 hour days a week with Sunday off for church. The small kids will be sent up the chimneys as sweeps . No holidays.
Seriously though workers had paid holidays from about 1920 so long before the EU. It's just increased as the years have passed mainly down to unions I think. We are not going to suddenly have terrible employment laws because we have left the EU. MP's want us to vote for them at the end of the day.
