Just wondering how far the pound has to fall before Britain's economy effectively shrinks behind the next country below us.

I don't know if this has been noticed, but the UN are far from impressed with "Austerity Britain".

The BBC are not going after politicians. They are informing the general public.
This is what created Brexit. This is what the disenfranchised people of the North of England voted against in the mistaken belief that it was down to the EU. It was Conservative Government policy. That's where this pathetic 3.8% majority, that we're supposed to be so chuffed with, has developed.
It was Labour that allowed employers the chance of a cheap workforce and it was Labour that let them kick the Brits out and replace them. It was Labour that let agencies advertise abroad without advertising here.
The Tories have continued it yes. But Labour started this problem the very day they decided not to use the restrictions that other major economies used on the freedom of movement of Labour from accession countries.
It was fine pre 2004 when Portuguese and Spanish and French came to work as they weren't massive numbers. But 2004 and Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian accession meant that the employer's eyes lit up. A workforce they could order to do what they wanted and they only had to pay the NMW. What a great deal for them.
I love the fact that this leadership contest is giving everyone including the media a chance to do a bit of good old fashioned Tory bashing. May I remind those that like to blame this nation's ills on the Conservatives, that whenever there has been a crisis it has been a Conservative Prime Minister who has been at the helm to dig this nation out of a hole. Be it Churchill during WW2, Thatcher in the 80s and Cameron in the 2010s.
I respect people's opinions but I urge people to stop being influenced by hardcore left wing forces within the media. There is an agenda, and this agenda serves only to divide the country even more.
There has been completely biased coverage of the hole Brexit situation. I'm sick to the back teeth of it. You can't turn of the TV without seeing socialist sympathiser chatting about how the young have been screwed over because the referendum outcome doesn't fit in with their 'progressive liberalist' attitude. Yet these same young people are strongly against the decision of a completely democratic referendum, and in favour of a undemocratic institution known as the European Union - tell me, where's the progressive liberalism in that?? They are hypocrits. Is it because the media have pumped this left wing idiocy into their brains, I wonder."Hard core left wing forces within the media"?
I respect your opinions, but you're nuts mate. Loopy Lou in fact.

So once again, according to your evidence, the fault of the Brexit vote lies with the policy of British Governments, not the EU.

The biggest puppetmaster in the whole of the printed and tv media is Rupert Murdoch and he is a dyed-in-the-wool hardline right wing Aussie. It's shameful how much influence that Colonnial has over us.
I hold no brief for Labour but this is nonsense. As said above, Churchill was a Conservative leading a coalition, and he led the war cabinet, and domestic policy was largely left to others. Thatcher inherited a financial crisis but her monetarist policies paved the way for the crash of 2008. And Cameron tried to bluff his way out of the EU debate and failed. And since when has any of the media, including the "leftist" BBC, failed to score a point against Jeremy Corbyn? And your final point is completely the opposite of reality, since when has NewsCorp been hardcore left wing? Laughable.I love the fact that this leadership contest is giving everyone including the media a chance to do a bit of good old fashioned Tory bashing.
