"We live under a regime so morally remote, so far up the fundament of its own self-righteousness, that it frets more over the justified rage of ordinary people than the unjustified destruction of a lad’s life."

"Rage over a man who died 4,000 miles from Britain? Go for it. Rage over a boy who died right here in England? Don’t even think about it. The reason for this brazen double standard is clear. It’s because the Brits who ‘raged’ over Floyd were primarily bourgeois leftists who obsequiously bent the knee to the ruling-class ideology of identitarianism."

"The establishment can handle the sight of Oxbridge keffiyeh-wearers partaking in orgies of performative virtue, whether over ‘racist America’ or ‘evil Israel’. But oiks? Gammon-coloured men draped in the England flag? Those people with their angry criticisms of the neo-racialism of the elites? Absolutely not. They must be demonised, driven from the streets. Only the righteous graduate classes are permitted to vent their moral fury in public places."

Is it time for political donations, over a certain amount, to be treated as a service charge and taxed?
I think most people recognise that donations are given because the donor wants the recipient to influence the government/opposition into implementing/blocking changes that would directly benefit/harm the donor and/or the industry he/she works in which is the same as paying for a service.
MPs will probably argue against this but I don’t think there are many people in the world giving vast sums of money to individual MPs who don’t expect to get something in return, which is the definition of a service.
At least by doing this the country would benefit from the millions being given to all individuals and parties.

I would be fascinated to know how many of those protesting in Southampton in Southampton this week had a criminal record. As was the case in Southport last year, I am sure that there was a large element of criminality amongst the Karens.

197 black people have died in UK since 1990 after contact with the police. 134 of these have died in police custody and a further 16 were shot by the police . For balance, 7 of these people died as a consequence of a road traffic incidence.

This is why George Floyd resonates with people in the UK, most of whom were not bourgeois leftists. Most people who are incensed by the police never went to Oxbridge and are not window net twitchers from Chandlers Ford either.

The only statement that I agree with you is that the "gammon coloured people" must be demonised and driven from our streets.

I'll bet you my last rollo you absolutely don't understand the context for those stats at all

"Whilst the government is taking steps to address the risk of foreign funding of UK political parties through the Representation of the People Bill, the lack of a cap on UK donations means that a handful of very wealthy individuals can continue to assert undue influence over our politics."

British citizens who have served in the discredited IDF will be sweating should Polanski's plan for them to be registered come into fruition. No different from British Muslims serving the Islamic State. Both should be discouraged.

Quite interesting to read about the Govt's proposed North Ireland Bill which will go some way to addressing the crimes committed by British services members whilst on tour. I think these kinds of movements are fascinating because they reflect public dissatisfaction with the behaviour of our armed forces and the fact that the population are less inclined to favour military action as a solution. It is a shame that countries like Russia do not have this progressive mindset as it would save an awful lot of lives.

Are you really equating the IDF to Islamic state?

I continue to be staggered by the prosecution of Peter Murrill and the fact that Nicola Sturgeon seems to have got off the hook. It now appears that he received legal aid albeit owning property in the Algarve with other members of his family. The press seem to be having a field way with him and you do wonder for just how long NS will avid some very awkward questions. I think that the fact he ruled her party with an iron rod ensured that people were intimidated to express their concerns, I cannot see the current state of affairs being the end of the matter.

Donald Trump has unveiled plans for the World Cup 2026 which is to be hosted jointly by USA, Canada and Mexico (or the USA and Mexico if Canada becomes the 51st state)
