I think it is more to do with finger trouble on a tricky keypad, I am prone to making spelling errors, but I do try to correct it when I can, I rely heavily on Google to get it right. GCE O level in 1964, but still learning every day.

If somebody says they've been stabbed, why wouldn't you check? The guy was falling to the floor, struggling to speak!
How anybody can excuse the police in this instance is ridiculous. The police may get a hard time, but being in a position where your main role is to serve the public you must do the basics, e.g. if somebody is falling to the floor saying they've been stabbed several times then check the entire body first before saying "don't think you have mate".

I do not feel that race played a part in it. He played the race card and fooled the police. But this should not obscure the fact that he was a thug regardless of race or religion.
The actions of the police were bad but i think most people would assume racial abuse from the circumstances. White people are responsible for a large percent of racist abuse. The sikhs i have worked with are generally gentlemen. You can sort of understand the initial opinion of the police but not getting to the truth was a massive error. Cuffing a bloke who was dying cannot be defended.

Yeah, strange one as the pathologist also said that the bleeding was internal so wouldn’t have been easy to spot.
Horrible circumstances for the poor kid and the police had a difficult and thankless task.

Just to be clear, if I make a comment about something you have posted it's not because I want to engage you in conversation.
This is exactly why the comments of Farage are so wrong. His remarks about "cold rage" just encourages more racism and escalates the problem. This was not a racist attack but a knife crime by a criminal who was known to the police. He was not an immigrant but a British citizen. This has nothing to do with immigration.
I just feel that Farage is very dangerous. He will manipulate any tragedy for his own advantage and his words have the unfortunate effect of legitimising the likes of Yexley-Lennon. There is a massive problem with the Right in this country. Back in my youth, organisations like the Anti-Nazi League campaigned successfully to assist eradicate the BNP and diminish these kinds of views. Unfortunately, the opinions of the BNP have manifested themselves into the mainstream with Nigel Farage and we are now in a position where 50% of Trade Union members support him. He has the support of the unthinking masses like Sucky whose posts are regrettably so typical these days. It is not a question of non-white people not being able to be racist but the fact that white people now feel confident to express their grievances in terms of people who do not look like them together with immigrants being at the root of all their issues. I feel we are regressing to a situation where tolerance and solidarity has been stripped away to leave society back where it was 50 years ago.

Unfortunately I don't think this is a Southampton exclusive thing, this is just one instance of a growing trend of Farage, Lowe, Yaxley-Lennon directed violence that can happen anywhere in the UK.
