It's the press, particularly the BBC this time, getting themselves into a lather because they have grown to believe they control the narrative far more than they really do.

I'd be the first to admit that this Labour government's messaging - in total contrast to Blair's - is terrible. But that doesn't mean the press gets to write all it's own stories, without looking stupid when they are blatently wrong. And they certainly are wrong, if they think the government is collapsing because they and the Scottish Labour leader (who is unknown to most of the public) say so.

Simmer down Imps, at least until May.

The legacy media and bubble narrative that focuses on Kemi Badenoch being useless at PMQs seems to be shot. lol. Like I have said before. She was winning ALL head to heads in both leadership elections and still her MPs were trying to knock her out before the final 2! And here she is winning all head to heads again! At some point the bubble needs to understand that its narrative is not representative of the populace at all! Nowhere near.

However I don't think she can translate the head to head into actual election wins. The Tory brand's current toxicity is way too much for it to turn into voting intention:

Not possible to afford Lowe any credibility but why aren't Pakistani men challenging these views? Where are the protests against the likes of Lowe and Reform? Why isn't there an equivalent of the Battle of Cable Street by British Muslims ? We need them to stand up against Reform too. I assume that they are disgusted by the abuse laid against them. The Muslim community needs to take the argument to Reform.

I disagree with the above principle. There's a big move to tactical voting whereby it's the party not the individual candidate that the vote is cast for in order to stop an unwanted party gaining the seat. I did exactly that in the Henley and Thame ward so that what had been a tory seat since the year dot went to the Lib Dems.

I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it’s 70 million. That’s 12 million people.” These numbers are deliberate mis/disinformation pandering to the flag shaggers.
There's not huge levels of immigrants coming in. Net migration has fallen by about 70% to around 200.000 lower than is needed to maintain population levels.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics indicate Ratcliffe’s claim is bullshit. The ONS estimated that the population of the UK was 67 million in 2020 and was last anywhere close to 58 million in 2000.
 
I play football with a bloke who works for Inios. He can’t stand the bloke. While Radcliffe is spending money on cycling and football teams, his company regularly refuses to update safety equipment because there is no money available.

If all the immigrants stopped coming, who would the haters pick on next, Jews, gays, disabled? If it sounds like 30’s Germany, or present day America, then you know what to call them.

The haters have already started on the Jews. No-one seems too bothered about that.

Starmer is using this story to deflect attention away from his own problems. He wouldn't normally get involved with someone who half the country have never heard of. It makes him look even more pathetic and those who swallow it up are no better.
